Sherry has worked in the legal field for over 25 years having received her paralegal certificate in 1991 from the Metropolitan Community Colleges of Kansas City. She has been a litigation paralegal with the firm since it was formed in 2005. She has served as litigation paralegal on a number of complex litigation matters. Her responsibilities include case management and file organization; maintaining and organizing produced documents; drafting discovery, correspondence and pleadings; assisting with filing and e-filing pleadings; maintaining electronic databases containing deposition transcripts and documents; reviewing documents for production and privilege; preparing and maintaining privilege logs; assisting with deposition and trial preparation; assisting attorneys in trials and arbitrations in which she is responsible for drafting and finalizing the initial list of trial exhibits; maintaining, organizing and marking trial exhibits; preparing trial subpoenas; locating and contacting trial witnesses; maintaining and organizing demonstrative exhibits; maintaining electronic database of trial exhibits and deposition testimony for use at trial as well as attending trial where she serves as a liaison between clients, witnesses, experts, vendors and court staff during the trial.
